Don’t get irritated with Glass guys- they’ve actually got some useful information
Yes, we’ve got glass salespeople, it’s our business to sell. And yes, some of them may appear to overly peruse your windshield and we understand this may seem annoying. But we also believe we’re providing you with information and services you may not be aware of .. especially when it comes to Auto Glass.
Arizona is a unique state when it comes to insurance and the Auto Glass Industry. We all know that the desert is tough on windshields: Arizona roads toss projectiles at our cars like tiny missiles daily; we all know the sound of that “crack!”
But did you know that your windshield is a major safety feature of your vehicle? It prevents the roof from collapsing in the event of a roll over. Sufficient damage to the windshield (meaning a crack longer than a dollar bill or four or more rock chips), means the structural integrity of the windshield is gone.
For this reason, and because damage is so prevalent in Arizona, the State Legislature has made laws that protect drivers and their cars. Most importantly, if you have auto insurance in the state of Arizona, your premiums can not be increased due to “no fault” damage to your auto glass. Not only this, but most comprehensive insurance policies have a zero deductible on glass repairs and replacements.
What does this mean to you? It means that if you are insured and your glass is damaged or cracked, it’s likely that there will be no out-of-pocket expense when getting it replaced or repaired, and your insurance will not go up due to the claim.
There are a lot more benefits, and a lot of information. Our sales staff is trained on the law, insurance, and can help you navigate through the process of making a claim. See, we’re not all bad! Find one of our glass guys and ask them a few questions. You might find you like what you hear.
